Description
The Cattelan Italia Kitano is a ceramic-top table range available in four versions. Versions A, B, and C are slim 24 cm deep side tables at three staggered heights (51h, 46h, 41h cm) — designed for placement beside sofas, armchairs, or in bedside positions, and available individually or as a Set of 3. Version D is a large near-square ceramic coffee table at 120×118×35h cm, serving as a primary living room centrepiece. All versions share Matt Black / Matt Graphite base options and a common ceramic palette — with one restriction: Matt Portoro and Glossy Portoro are not available for Version D. Made in Italy by Cattelan Italia. Note: Colosseo is discontinued and no longer available.

A (60×24×51h cm) — tallest side table; 51 cm height positions the top close to standard sofa armrest height, making it the most comfortable for beside-seating use. B (50×24×46h cm) — mid-height; suits both standard and lower modular seating. In the trio cluster it provides the visual transition between A and C. C (40×24×41h cm) — most compact; works as a low accent table in isolation, or as the lower anchor of the stepped Set of 3 cluster. Set of 3 — the three share a consistent 24 cm depth, so when grouped the stepped heights (41, 46, 51 cm) create a clean graduated three-level arrangement. Ships as a single parcel — more logistics-efficient than ordering separately. D (120×118×35h cm) — a near-square (120:118) primary coffee table at standard low-profile height. One of the largest ceramic coffee table formats in the Cattelan Italia range. The base (42 kg) and top (46 kg) are near-equal in weight — indicating a structurally substantial base frame that spans close to the full plan area of the top.

Both finishes are flat-matte — no sheen — creating a deliberately recessive base that draws attention to the ceramic top. Matt Black produces the highest contrast with pale ceramics (Alabastro, Makalu, Kaindy) and merges tonally with dark ceramics (Breccia, Portoro) for a unified composition. Matt Graphite is a cooler dark grey — slightly more visible than black as a defined frame element, particularly against pale tops. For Version D, where the base frame is physically larger and more visible, the finish choice has a more pronounced effect on the overall composition.

Alabastro — pale warm-white with subtle translucent-effect veining; the lightest top option, maximum contrast with both base finishes. Makalu — cool grey-white with soft cloud-like veining; tonally between Alabastro and Kaindy. Breccia — warm beige-cream with irregular fragmented vein patterning characteristic of breccia marble; each slab visually unique. Kaindy — warm mid-grey with diffuse soft veining; the most tonally neutral of the four universal ceramics. Matt Portoro — deep black-ground ceramic with bold white and gold veining; matte surface creates a flat, architectural reading of the dramatic pattern. A/B/C only. Glossy Portoro — same Portoro pattern with high-gloss finish that amplifies the reflective black ground and intensifies the veining's visual depth. A/B/C only.
Materials & Construction
Sintered Ceramic Tops
All tops are sintered porcelain — produced under high heat and pressure for a dense, non-porous, scratch- and stain-resistant surface. The process allows high-resolution marble-effect patterning across the full slab. Version D's 120×118 cm ceramic panel ships at 46 kg and requires two-person handling.
Set of 3 — Single Parcel
The Set of 3 (A+B+C) ships in one parcel (66×31×59 cm, 32.50 kg) — marginally more compact than three individual parcels and significantly simpler to receive and install. One ceramic finish and one base colour applies to all three pieces within the set; mixed finishes within a single set order are not available.
