The Cattelan Italia Step Coffee Table is a height-adjustable single-column accent table — Square (36×36 cm) or Round (Ø36 cm) top, adjustable from 48.5 cm to 75.5 cm height via an integrated adjustment knob. Available in four finishes: Brushed Bronze, Brushed Brass, Titanium Embossed, or Black Embossed — all four available across both top shapes. Both variants ship in a single compact parcel (43×40×12 cm, 0.02 m³) — Square at 8.00 kg, Round at 7.00 kg. Height range in context: At 48.5 cm minimum the Step sits at standard sofa armrest height (most contemporary sofas: 45–65 cm armrest range) — this is the primary use position for beside-sofa placement. At 75.5 cm maximum the Step sits well above standard coffee table height (35–45 cm) and approaches bar stool seat height (71–76 cm) — at this height it functions as a temporary standing-height surface, a laptop elevation platform from a standing or tall chair position, or a bedside table at the height of higher bed frames (platform or European-height beds typically 55–65 cm mattress height). 27 cm range: The 27 cm adjustment range is substantial for a single-column accent table — it spans from low accent to near-standing height without changing the table's footprint or visual character. Square vs Round — plan area: The Square top (36×36 cm) provides 1,296 cm² of surface — a full square plan. Brushed Bronze — warm dark amber-brown metallic with directional brushed texture; the richest warm tone in the range. The brushed surface treatment softens the metallic character and reduces specular reflection. Brushed Brass — lighter, more golden warm metallic than Bronze; the brushed surface is critical to preventing the finish from reading as brash — brushed brass reads as refined where polished brass would not. Titanium Embossed — cool mid-grey with fine embossed relief pattern; the embossed texture adds tactile depth and reduces flat reflections on the cool grey surface. The most tonally neutral finish in the range — compatible with the widest range of interior palettes. Black Embossed — deep black with embossed relief surface; the highest-contrast finish in the range. The embossed pattern is most visible in raking light on the Black Embossed finish. Brushed vs Embossed surface character: Brushed finishes have a linear, directional texture that creates highlight and shadow in one axis; Embossed finishes have an omnidirectional fine relief pattern that diffuses light evenly across the surface.
