Cattelan Italia
Founded in the late 1970s by Giorgio and Silvia Cattelan, this 100% Italian-designed and manufactured brand is now a very famous and just as influential Italian furniture company, attracting the affection of a broad range of homeowners around the world.
Each and every piece of furniture from Cattelan Italia radiates style and modern sophistication, ranging from the brand’s beds and nightstands to its coffee tables and sideboards.
This brand was originally known for its production of several small, marbled tables, but now it offers hundreds of different styles of modern Italian furniture, mixing a variety of materials and pushing the boundaries of innovation to the max. We have a huge selection of Cattelan Italia furniture on display in our Essex showroom.
Cattelan Italia takes pride in drawing upon a minimalistic aesthetic and using the finest materials, while also having no shortage of its own original style.
Consisting today of dining tables, bookcases, chairs, and other accessories, manufactured in a range of materials, the Cattelan Italia collection continues to expand. Today, the brand offers its furniture in over 100 countries and is committed to major international furniture fairs, in addition to being regarded as one of the greatest Italian companies in the furniture industry.
A quick history of Cattelan Italia
The story of Cattelan Italia begins with Giorgio. He was born into a family where creating furniture was a part of their everyday life. The company itself was established in 1979 by Giorgio and Silvia Cattelan, who specialised in marble furniture. The firm became immediately successful, particularly in Europe, the United States, and the Far East.
By 1989, the first factory had been built, and the collection grew to include a wider range of furniture items like dining chairs, tables and bookshelves, combining materials like wood, glass and metal.
Fast-forward to 1995, and the two sons get involved in the business, too. Lorenzo follows the general image of the firm with all the graphics and artistic parts, until he moves to Tuscany to manage a property in 2002. The other son, Paolo, acts a commercial manager of the company.
Around this time, the company finds itself positioned as one of the biggest Italian firms in the furnishing sector.
2004 is when the company starts to distribute the brand Fly Line, and some of its products achieve international recognition.
Today, Cattelan Italia furniture can be found on display in literally thousands of highly regarded showrooms, across more than 100 countries around the globe. To support this wide distribution network, agents have been set up in all of these countries, their efforts supported by the presence of Cattelan Italia at the major international fairs.
