Description
The Gloster Freestanding Fire Bowl is a low, sculptural outdoor fire pit designed by Henrik Pedersen, crafted from heat resistant, powder coated 6 mm mild steel to bring real wood flame and a soft ambient glow to terraces, patios and garden lounge areas. Available in 89 cm and 135 cm diameters, it offers a choice between a compact bowl for smaller spaces and a dramatic focal point for larger seating groups, while sharing the same durable Jet textured steel frame and clean circular silhouette.
Key Features
- Two Bowl Sizes: Offered as an 89 cm and a 135 cm freestanding fire bowl, both with a low profile that sits comfortably in front of outdoor lounge seating.
- Heavy-Gauge Steel Construction: Made from heat resistant, powder coated 6 mm mild steel, giving substantial weight, stability and long-term durability for repeated wood‑burning use.
- Adjustable Ventilator & Ash Tray: Each bowl incorporates an adjustable ventilator and ash tray to help control airflow and simplify cleaning once the fire has cooled.
- Minimal, Modern Form: The simple circular bowl and discreet base keep the focus on the fire itself, pairing easily with contemporary Gloster outdoor furniture collections.
Materials & Construction
Steel Frame & Finish
6 mm Mild Steel Frame: The fire bowl and support structure are formed from 6 mm mild steel, designed to withstand the thermal stresses of open wood fires.
Heat Resistant Powder Coat: A heat resistant, Jet textured powder-coated finish protects the steel and gives a deep, matte black appearance that recedes visually when the fire is lit.
Ventilation & Ash Management
Adjustable Ventilator: An integrated ventilator allows you to adjust airflow beneath the fire, aiding ignition and giving better control over burn rate.
Ash Tray Detail: The ash tray collects ash and embers below the bowl so they can be removed more easily after use, helping to keep the fire bowl ready for the next evening.
Usage & Care
Ideal Applications
Outdoor Fire Feature: Designed for use as a wood‑burning fire bowl in open‑air spaces, creating a focal point for conversation and extending the time you can comfortably spend outdoors on cooler evenings.
Design Pairing: The understated form and dark steel finish sit well alongside teak lounge seating, upholstered modules and dining settings from across the Gloster collection.
Care & Safety
Routine Cleaning: Once fully cooled, empty the ash tray and brush out remaining ash before wiping steel surfaces with a soft brush or cloth to maintain appearance.
Safe Operation: Use only outdoors on a stable, non‑combustible surface, observe local regulations on open fires and always supervise the fire while it is burning.
