Description
Arsenal Modular Bookcase – Cattelan Italia (Design: Alessio Bassan, 2016)
The Arsenal bookcase is a modular shelving system featuring a cage-like construction of vertical lacquered steel slats, skillfully balancing display and concealment. Each module can stand alone or join others side by side, allowing for highly customizable compositions tailored to both style and available space. Wooden shelves—selectable in Canaletto walnut, burned oak, or embossed graphite—combine with the vertical structure for a striking, contemporary aesthetic.
The frame is available in titanium (GFM11), graphite (GFM69), or black (GFM73) embossed lacquered steel, as chosen from the Cattelan Italia sample card. The shelves are constructed from wood-veneered or embossed varnished MDF for durability and refinement. The frame can be assembled for left or right orientation, further boosting compositional flexibility. Intended solely for indoor use, the Arsenal bookcase offers sleek, adaptable storage for both residential and professional environments.
