The Gloster Ambient Sol is a sculptural outdoor lighting piece by Henrik Pedersen, combining a Meteor colour powder coated aluminium frame with a Wheat colour woven all-weather wicker canopy and an integrated rechargeable LED light unit. Measuring 220cm in diameter and 231cm high, Ambient Sol brings shade-like presence and atmospheric illumination together in one statement outdoor design.

Installation options
Freestanding version
Ambient Sol - Freestanding: The freestanding version is the movable installation option and has a listed weight of 82kg. It can be specified with the optional Freestanding 50kg Extra Base Weight for additional ballast where greater stability is preferred.
Optional freestanding accessory: The 50kg Extra Base Weight is an available accessory rather than a required installation component.
Ground fixed version
Ambient Sol - Ground Fixed: The ground-fixed version is for permanent installation and is offered with either a Concrete Fitting Kit or an Inground Fitting Kit. These two kits are alternatives, so only one is selected depending on the installation method.
Choose one fixing kit: Concrete Fitting Kit is for fixing to a suitable hard base, while Inground Fitting Kit is for embedded installation into the ground. Ground-fixed Ambient Sol should therefore be sold with one of these two fitting choices.

LED lighting performance
Integrated lighting: Ambient Sol includes a mains-power rechargeable LED light unit with 64 LEDs, warm 2700K colour temperature, Li-Ion battery and IP64 rating for outdoor use.
Power details: The adaptor input is 100V–240V DC and adaptor output is 4.2V.

Materials & care
Powder coated aluminium
Durable coated frame: Powder coated aluminium is designed for outdoor use and should be cleaned gently with water and mild liquid detergent using a microfibre cloth or sponge. Abrasive cleaners, steel wool and Scotchbrite should be avoided.
Wicker canopy
All-weather wicker: Wicker is resistant to outdoor conditions and can be cleaned with a mild detergent solution and a soft bristle brush before rinsing with cold water. Residual foam should be removed so it does not attract dirt between the weave.
Warranty
Gloster states that its outdoor products are warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use, subject to proper care and maintenance. The linked warranty document provides the full terms and exclusions for Europe and ROW.
