The Gloster Grid Chill Unit is a large-scale modular lounge platform designed by Henrik Pedersen, featuring a powder coated aluminium frame paired with upholstered outdoor fabric seat, back, and arm cushions. Measuring 180cm × 180cm with integrated arm support and deep lounge cushions, the Chill Unit forms a generous, daybed-like element within the Grid collection for relaxed outdoor lounging.

Grid cushions use Gloster’s outdoor fabric programme based on solution-dyed acrylic yarns with water- and stain-repellent finishes, with fabrics grouped into Outdoor Performance, Water Resistant and Soft Touch categories depending on construction and hand.
Materials & Construction
Powder Coated Aluminium Frame
Structural base: The Chill Unit uses a powder coated aluminium frame that offers excellent strength-to-weight performance and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for outdoor modular seating exposed to the elements.
The electrostatic powder coating process ensures full coverage and a tough, consistent finish that is resistant to knocks, moisture and typical outdoor pollutants, while remaining easy to clean with mild detergent and water.
Outdoor Cushioning
Seat, back & arm cushions: Upholstered outdoor fabric seat, back and arm cushions are included as standard, turning the Chill Unit into a fully cushioned lounge platform with integrated arm support.
Fabric construction: Gloster upholstery fabrics are made from solution-dyed acrylic yarns with water- and stain-repellent finishes, engineered with cushion interiors that support quick drying and long-term outdoor comfort.
Protective Covers
Weathermax performance covers: The optional protective cover is made from Weathermax, a breathable, solution-dyed polyester fabric that combines UV resistance, water resistance, and durability to help protect the Chill Unit from dirt, stains and environmental exposure.
Covers should be fitted only when furniture and cushions are fully dry and removed periodically so the unit can be cleaned and maintained even when not in heavy use.

Chill Lounge Applications
Relaxed lounging: The Grid Chill Unit is ideal for terraces, pool decks, roof gardens and larger patios where deep, relaxed lounging and daybed-style seating are desired, either alone or integrated into wider Grid configurations.
Modular integration: Its 180cm × 180cm footprint and arm height allow it to connect visually and dimensionally with other Grid modules, forming extended lounge platforms and corner compositions.
Warranty & Material Care
Warranty: Gloster warrants its outdoor furniture against defective materials and workmanship for the original purchaser, provided that the furniture is used reasonably and maintained in accordance with Gloster’s aftercare guidance.
