The Cattelan Italia Baldwin Terminal & Chaise Units are the modular end-of-sofa and chaise elements of the Baldwin collection, designed to anchor, extend, and terminate sofa compositions of any scale and layout configuration. Each unit carries the defining Baldwin design language — the deliberate contrast of deep, generous seat volumes against a slim, elegantly proportioned backrest panel — while contributing a specific compositional function: the Terminal Units provide a structured closed armrest end to the sofa run; the Open Terminal Units introduce an elegant open section at the end of the composition for a light, contemporary finish; the Curved Open Terminal adds an organic curved plan to this open end; the Terminal Unit with Pouf integrates a companion pouf for extended lounging; and the Chaise Longue Unit provides a full extended reclined position at the end of any Baldwin composition. All configurations are available in Left or Right orientation, allowing placement on either end of the sofa arrangement with full mirror symmetry. The same Standard Cover (single fabric) and Mix Cover (fabric + leather two-material composition) upholstery system as the Baldwin Sofas applies across all terminal and chaise units, ensuring complete material consistency throughout the composition. Terminal Unit 180 cm (180×101×73h cm) is the extended closed-arm terminal providing a wider seated end position. Open Terminal Unit 230 cm (230×101×73h cm) introduces an elegant open 50 cm section at the outer end for a light, contemporary armrest-free termination. Curved Open Terminal Unit 230 cm (230×127×73h cm, main depth 101 cm) adds a gentle curved plan to this open end, increasing overall depth to 127 cm. Terminal Unit with Pouf 230 cm (230×120×73h cm) integrates a companion Baldwin Pouf (120×101×40h cm) for a generous extended corner lounging position. Orientation
All unit configurations are available in Left and Right orientation. Select based on the position of the unit within your Baldwin sofa composition.
Orientation is always described when viewing the sofa from the front (sitting position perspective). Left orientation places the terminal or chaise geometry at the left-hand end of the composition. Right orientation places it at the right-hand end. For a complete Baldwin sofa run with a terminal on one end and a chaise on the other, specify units of opposite orientations accordingly. Please confirm orientation carefully at time of order as this is determined at manufacture.
Cover Configuration
Two cover approaches — Standard Cover and Mix Cover. Identical system to Baldwin Sofas for full material consistency across the composition.
Each includes further individual fabric options.
Cover B: Soft Leather or Soft Leather Glove (further individual leathers)
Standard Cover applies a single, consistent upholstery material across all elements of the unit. Mix Cover combines Cover A fabric on the primary body with Cover B leather on the designated contrasting element. The cover system is identical to that of the Baldwin Sofas, ensuring complete material continuity throughout any mixed Baldwin composition. Soft Leather is a supple full-grain leather of natural warmth and durability across the full Cattelan Italia colour palette. Soft Leather Glove is the premium grade of exceptional glove-like suppleness. Both create a rich dialogue with the fabric Cover A. The terminal units provide a structurally resolved armrest end; the open and curved terminal units eliminate the armrest for an architecturally lighter, more contemporary sofa termination.

The Open and Curved Open Terminal units feature a 50 cm open outer section — a deliberate architectural detail that reduces visual weight at the sofa end and gives the Baldwin composition a refined, contemporary termination geometry. Integrated Pouf & Chaise Options
The Terminal Unit with Pouf 230 cm integrates a companion Baldwin Pouf (120×101×40h cm) at the extended end, creating a generous corner lounging position. The Chaise Longue Unit 120 cm provides a dedicated 160 cm deep reclined seat position within the composition. Both options are upholstered in the same cover system as the rest of the Baldwin composition for total material continuity.

Packaging Details
Packaging dimensions and weights will be confirmed prior to delivery. All terminal and chaise units are delivered with seat and back cushions separately packaged for protection. The Curved Open Terminal Unit 230 cm at 127 cm overall depth and the Chaise Longue Unit 120 cm at 160 cm depth require adequate access width for delivery and positioning; please confirm door and corridor dimensions before ordering.
