Latitude Modular Bookcase – Cattelan Italia (Design: 2020)
The Latitude bookcase is an adaptable modular shelving system designed to masterfully utilize space and introduce artistic structure to any wall or open area. Each module, crafted from embossed lacquered steel in titanium (GFM11), bronze (GFM18), or pearl (GFM70), can be set vertically or horizontally and freely combined for a variety of compositions — from vertical columns to horizontal units or as transparent room dividers. The geometric interplay of the frame allows for creative displays while offering practical utility as a room feature, service cabinet, or media stand.
Each Latitude unit is built with steel varnished in epoxy powders for durability and brilliance. Units can be stacked or arrayed side by side, with wall anchorage recommended unless an optional ballast is attached. Finish selections are made via the Cattelan Italia sample card. The system is strictly for indoor use and allows for the addition of steel ballast for extra stability.
