Cattelan Italia Gibson Central & Chaise Units

The Cattelan Italia Gibson Central & Chaise Units are the individual modular building blocks of the Gibson sofa system — the seat sections, corner elements, and chaise longue units from which all Gibson compositions are assembled. Seven standard Central Units (78, 91, 104, 117, 156, 208, and 234 cm wide) provide compact through generously extended seating modules at a consistent 90 cm overall height and 42 cm seat height. The Curved Central Unit 117 cm introduces a gently angled corner module available in Left or Right orientation, enabling organic and angled multi-section arrangements. The Chaise Longue Unit 156 cm (117 cm wide × 156 cm deep) provides a deep chaise extension for L-shaped and peninsula compositions. All units share a consistent 63 cm back height and are upholstered across Category A through F fabrics, with an optional Cushion with Roller accessory in three widths independently upholstered in the same fabric range. • Back Cushion Width Scales with Unit Width: Each Central Unit includes one back cushion sized proportionally to unit width — 68, 81, or 94 cm wide × 60 cm high. Larger units (156 cm, 208 cm, 234 cm) include two or three back cushions respectively. All back cushions are 60 cm high across all units.
• Optional Cushion with Roller — Three Sizes: PW70 (68×51 cm), PW80 (81×51 cm), and PW90 (94×51 cm) optional roller cushions are independently upholstered in Category A, B, D, or F fabrics.
• Fabric Upholstery — Category A through F: All units and optional cushions available in four fabric categories, each including multiple individual options.

Standard Central Units

Curved & Chaise Units

Central Units 78–234 cm are standard seating modules of increasing width, all sharing 104 cm depth (except 91 cm and 117 cm at 117 cm depth). Curved Central Unit 117 cm is the angled corner module — specify Left or Right orientation (see below). Chaise Longue Unit 156 cm is the backless deep chaise extension at 117×156 cm. Back cushion count increases with unit width: single cushion on units up to 117 cm, two cushions on 156 cm and 208 cm units, three cushions on the 234 cm unit.

Orientation

Orientation is determined when viewed from the front of the sofa. Left means the curved section angles toward the left; Right means it angles toward the right. Please confirm orientation carefully before ordering — this affects how the unit connects within your composition.

Cover Upholstery

Four fabric categories — Category A, B, D, and F. Each includes multiple individual fabric options. The same four categories apply to the optional Cushion with Roller cover.

Packaging Details

Packaging dimensions and weights will be confirmed prior to delivery. All Gibson Central & Chaise Units are delivered with back cushions separately packaged for protection. The Chaise Longue Unit 156 cm at 156 cm overall depth requires adequate access width and depth for delivery and positioning; please confirm door and corridor dimensions before ordering.
