The Cattelan Italia Murphy Corner & Chaise Units are the angled turning and reclined extension elements of the Murphy modular sofa system — specialist modules that introduce 90-degree direction changes and full chaise longue extensions into any Murphy sofa composition. Two module types are offered: the Corner Unit 213 cm (213×180×75h cm), a square-plan corner element that connects two Murphy sofa runs at a 90-degree angle; and the Chaise Longue Unit 166 cm (150×166×75h cm), a reclined extension element that closes one end of a Murphy composition with a full chaise longue platform. Both modules are available in Left and Right orientation. Each is supplied with integrated backrest/arm elements as standard — the Corner Unit with two 100 cm elements, the Chaise Longue Unit with one 115 cm backrest/arm element and one armrest cushion (PW65) included. Cover upholstery spans Category A through F fabrics, with optional PW70 (70×65 cm) or PW65 (65×48 cm) armrest cushions upholstered independently. Made in Italy by Cattelan Italia.

Corner Unit 213 cm (213×180×75h cm) is the 90-degree corner connection element, supplied with 2 backrest/arm elements (100 cm each). It connects two Murphy sofa runs at a right angle for L-shaped and U-shaped compositions. Chaise Longue Unit 166 cm (150×166×75h cm) is the reclined end-extension element, supplied with 1 backrest/arm element (115 cm) and 1 PW65 armrest cushion included as standard. It closes one end of a Murphy composition with a full chaise longue platform. Both are available in Left and Right orientation.
Orientation
Orientation for both module types is confirmed relative to the seated position facing the sofa front. For Corner Units, confirm the direction of the intended right-angle turn in the composition plan before ordering. For Chaise Longue Units, confirm whether the chaise platform should extend to the left or right of the sofa terminus. Cover Upholstery
Category A, B, D, and F fabrics — applied to the Corner and Chaise Longue Unit body covers. Each category includes multiple individual fabric options.

All optional cushions are upholstered independently.

The same Category A–F fabric range applies to optional cushion covers — enabling matching or contrasting cushion upholstery within the same composition.

Corner Unit 213 cm — 90-Degree Composition Turn
The Corner Unit 213 cm (213×180×75h cm) is the square-plan element that enables L-shaped and U-shaped Murphy compositions by connecting two sofa runs at a 90-degree right angle. At 213 cm width and 180 cm depth, it provides generous seating area at the inside corner of the composition. Two 100 cm backrest/arm elements are supplied as standard, positioned along the two open sides of the corner element. Both open sides connect to adjoining Murphy Central Units, Terminal Units, or Chaise Longue Units along continuous upholstered junctions.
Chaise Longue Unit 166 cm — Reclined Platform End Extension
The Chaise Longue Unit 166 cm (150×166×75h cm) closes one end of a Murphy composition with a full reclined platform of 150 cm width and 166 cm depth, providing an extended lounging surface at the terminus of the sofa. One 115 cm backrest/arm element and one PW65 armrest cushion are supplied as standard, defining the Murphy low-profile chaise silhouette. The single open end connects to an adjoining Murphy Central Unit, Terminal Unit, or Corner Unit. The Chaise Longue Unit is not reversible — Left and Right must be specified at time of order.
Murphy System Compatibility — Consistent 75 cm Height
Both the Corner Unit and the Chaise Longue Unit share the same 75 cm overall height as all Murphy Central and Terminal Units, ensuring continuous surface alignment throughout any Murphy composition. The Corner Unit at 180 cm depth and the Chaise Longue Unit at 166 cm depth both project beyond the 115 cm depth of the straight Murphy modules, and should be accounted for in the overall composition footprint when planning room layout. All units connect along continuous upholstered junctions with no visible break in the surface.
