The Cattelan Italia Murphy Sofa Compositions are pre-configured modular sofa arrangements drawn from the full Murphy modular system — combining Central Units, Terminal Units, Corner Units, Chaise Longue Units, and Curved Terminal Units into complete, ready-to-specify sofa compositions for contemporary living rooms and open-plan interiors. Two compositions are offered here: Composition 1 (Terminal Unit 220 cm Left + Central Unit 240 cm) is a generous two-module linear sofa of 335 cm overall width — a versatile L-shaped arrangement suited to a wide range of room layouts. Composition 2 (Chaise Longue Unit 166 cm Left + Corner Unit 213 cm + Curved Terminal Unit 220 cm Right) is a three-module compound composition of 435 cm overall width combining a chaise longue extension, a 90-degree corner turn, and a curved terminal end into one expansive lounge arrangement. Both compositions are available across Category A through F fabrics, with optional PW70 (70×65 cm) and PW65 armrest cushions (65×48 cm) upholstered independently. Made in Italy by Cattelan Italia.

The composition creates a generous two-module open-ended sofa suited to use against a wall or free-standing within a room. The right end remains open and may be extended with additional Murphy modules if required.

Composition 2 (CL150 Left + AG210 + TC220 Right) combines a left-oriented Chaise Longue Unit 166 cm (150×166 cm, 1 backrest/arm 115 cm + 1 PW65 armrest cushion included), a Corner Unit 213 cm (213×180 cm, 2 backrest/arm 100 cm included), and a right-oriented Curved Terminal Unit 220 cm (220×180 cm) for an expansive overall width of 435 cm. The composition turns 90 degrees at the corner unit and closes with a curved terminal end on the right, creating a distinctive compound lounge arrangement suited to large open-plan rooms. All three modules connect along continuous upholstered junctions at 75 cm height.

No Cushion — no optional cushion beyond the standard backrest/arm inclusions per unit. PW65 Armrest Cushion (65×48 cm) — note that one PW65 is already included with the Chaise Longue Unit in Composition 2 as standard; an additional PW65 may be added here as an option on either composition. All optional cushions are upholstered independently.
Optional Cushion Cover Upholstery
The same Category A–F fabric range applies to optional cushion covers — enabling matching or contrasting cushion upholstery within either composition.

Materials & Construction
Composition 1 — Two-Module Linear Arrangement
Composition 1 (T220 Left + CN240) brings together a Terminal Unit 220 cm Left and a Central Unit 240 cm into a 335 cm wide, 240 cm deep L-shaped sofa. The terminal unit at 220×115 cm defines the left open arm end, while the central unit at 115×240 cm provides the main seating body. Both units connect along a continuous 115 cm deep junction. The right-hand end of the Central Unit 240 cm remains open and may be extended with additional Murphy modules to create a larger composition.
Composition 2 — Three-Module Compound Arrangement
Composition 2 (CL150 Left + AG210 + TC220 Right) is a 435 cm wide compound sofa composition combining chaise, corner, and curved terminal geometry in a single co-ordinated arrangement. The Chaise Longue Unit 166 cm Left provides a full reclined platform on the left terminus. The Corner Unit 213 cm turns the composition 90 degrees. The Curved Terminal Unit 220 cm Right closes the right terminus with a curved plan end. All three modules connect at 75 cm height with continuous upholstered junctions and no surface break.
Consistent 75 cm Height — All Murphy Modules
All Murphy modules across both compositions — Terminal Units, Central Units, Corner Units, Chaise Longue Units, and Curved Terminal Units — share a common 75 cm overall height, ensuring full seat and back surface continuity throughout any combination. All backrest/arm elements (100 cm and 115 cm lengths) are supplied as standard with their respective modules. The entire Murphy system is produced in Italy by Cattelan Italia to consistent quality and dimensional tolerances.
